My friend, Emily, who is also a makeup artist and fashion stylist, sent me this video that features a makeup artist as she tries a few of the skincare products that she uses. It was interesting and a little eye-opening. I think I’m going to try one of these soon.
Do you know what really got me? I don’t know what got me. I don’t know what it was about the makeup that had me smiling and watching Emily’s video. I just like the concept of makeup and makeup artists. If you know the makeup artists I’m talking about, then you know what that was about. I like the concept of having makeup artists do makeup for you. I could see doing makeup for myself.
I know what you mean and I think that is why I was just a little bit attracted to the makeup that Emily was putting on. I like makeup and I think it would be fun to have makeup that I could do myself. But I also think that it is something that has to be done from a professional makeup artist. The fact that it was from a makeup studio is what got me. It was easy to find a professional makeup studio that you can do makeup from.
I think this is really important and it deserves repeating. It is not that I don’t think it is important that makeup be done by professionals but I think the fact that makeup is important to you will be very relevant to the makeup that you do for your personal life.
For those of you who have makeup done by someone else, it means that you are probably not an active makeup user yourself. As a general rule of thumb, if your makeup is not done by a professional makeup artist, you probably need to do it yourself.
Well, to be fair, to just do it yourself would be a really bad idea. I mean, you’d probably get more looks than you expect to when you do it yourself. So, in a way, it’s a shame that it is something that you can just do yourself because you like the look of it and that you can’t easily buy the professional makeup that you need to look your best.
Well, I’m not a makeup artist myself, but I do like the idea of being able to do it yourself. I do look for it. I have looked into the idea of trying to get a professional makeup artist to come to my studio, but as a first step I would prefer not to do it myself. But I guess that’s just me.
Not to mention that the makeup artists I know are not interested in working with me, because they say they have other things to do with their day, and they can’t afford to spend that much time getting professional makeup for me.
I’d never try to make a living as a makeup artist, but I’d do it if it was possible. That’s not to say that I wouldn’t try to make a living from other types of art, though. I’ve been working in comics for a while and have done a few art jobs for people. I’ve also done a lot of digital art, and have some skills that I’m pretty sure I could develop into doing some freelance work.
